BACKGROUND: HERCULES is a very ambitious project that aims to implement, on top of heterogeneous COTS multi-core platforms, predictable execution models and efficient co-scheduling algorithms for a coordinated management of processing and memory resources, in order to maximize framework performance, predictability and power efficiency in safety critical applications. The project want to demonstrate the fully unleashing the parallel computing power of cutting-edge embedded computing architectures to the real-time industrial domain, providing “real-time embedded super-computers” that may achieve high and guaranteed performances.
HIGHLIGHTS RELATED TO THE NEXT WORKSHOP:
The main targets of this second workshop are to:
(i) present the HERCULES answers to the feedbacks received during the last IAB meeting;
(ii) explain the main technical achievements obtained during the first half of the project;
(iii) shocase demos of important framework components, like hypervisor, RTOS, applications, etc.;
(iv) discuss and promote the adoption of our technologies to solve relevant problems for your company.
